Personal Artwork: walking during quarantine

Navigating through the personal/national/global heaviness during this historic and unknown time, I went on A LOT of walks. Small walks, long walks, walks with my girlfriend, walks with my dog, social distance walks with masks and the appropriate amount of space in between a select few friends. Amongst covid, the brutality of American police and the continual murdering and dehumanization of black lives, and the health scares of my family, life had me unravel and reexamine self and purpose in a deep way. Feeling the feelings and trying to make sense of it, I started small with movement and photographing on those many walks.

I tapped in on what joy means to me and relearned the value of baby steps and simplifying. Directing focus on color, nature, and sunlight, had me in a meditative and happy place. I have been on a journey of active healing for a while and have found a new pivot into that journey.

Healing through nature, art, and color…

Excited to announce these new images of bright color, moody nature, and macro delicacy are now available to fill your home with joy and peace: selling fine art photography prints and notecards on Etsy at NWphotographyprints!
